Choosing Your First Club - What to Look For
Getting Started
Choosing Your First Club
When you first sign up, you'll browse the Job Centre for vacant managerial positions. Here's what to consider when choosing your club.
Things to Look For
- Squad strength - Check the average PS (Performance Score) of the players
- Budget - Some clubs have more transfer funds than others
- League position - Joining a mid-table club gives you room to improve without relegation pressure
- Squad depth - Look at how many players you have in each position
Tips for New Managers
- Don't worry about picking the "best" club - every club is competitive
- Smaller clubs can be more rewarding when you build them up
- Check the squad page before accepting to see what players you'll inherit
- You can always resign and take a different job later (though it affects your reputation)
