Every club has a financial balance that determines what you can spend on transfers and wages.
Budget Overview
The Finances page shows:
- Current balance - Money available for spending
- Escrowed funds - Money tied up in active bids
- Available balance - Current balance minus escrow
- Income - Match day revenue, prize money, player sales
- Expenditure - Wages, transfer fees
Income Sources
- Match day attendance revenue - Earned each home match
- Prize money - From cup and European competition progression
- Player sales - Transfer fees from auctions
- Season allocation - Periodic budget allocations
Expenditure
- Player wages - Weekly deductions for all squad players
- Transfer fees - One-off costs when signing players
- Escrow - Temporarily held during active auction bids
Financial Health
- Keep your balance positive - don't overspend
- Wage bill should be sustainable relative to income
- Selling players generates immediate cash
- Prize money can fund transfer window activity
