Free agents are players not currently attached to any club. You can sign them without paying a transfer fee.
Finding Free Agents
Browse the Transfers page and filter for free agents. These players are available to sign immediately.
Signing a Free Agent
- Find a free agent you want
- Click Sign Player
- The player joins your squad immediately
- You'll pay their weekly wage but no transfer fee
Why Players Become Free Agents
- They were released by their previous manager
- Their club was vacated and players were dispersed
- They weren't assigned to any club during setup
Tips
- Free agents are great budget signings
- Quality varies - some free agents are genuinely useful squad players
- Check their wage - even free signings have ongoing costs
- Look for position coverage gaps in your squad and fill them with free agents
